Coaches, mentors, and develops Personal Lines teams to provide members and nonmembers with personal lines insurance solutions. Uses knowledge of personal lines marketplace to support Personal Lines teams throughout the client lifecycle. Accountable for team performance and deliverables. Collaborate with carriers on process improvements, critical issues, exceptions, and trends.

Job Duties


  • Identifies and manages existing and emerging risks that stem from business activities and the job role.
  • Ensures risks associated with business activities are optimally identified, measured, supervised, and controlled.
  • Follows written risk and compliance policies, standards, and procedures for business activities.
  • Serves as a team leader, coach, mentor, role model, and change agent to a team of employees who provide personal lines insurance
  • Collaborates with internal and external partners (alliance carrier underwriting, product management) to ensure quality submissions and appropriate coverage.
  • Reviews key reporting results to include process adherence escalations and exceptions.
  • Utilizes Agency Management Systems for operating in a multi-carrier environment to provide Day to Day operational support.
  • Maintains high degree of industry expertise and knowledge of industry trends in order to facilitate and support the technical and interpersonal skills development of their team.
  • Drives business results and revenue/product goal attainment; ensures team members provide appropriate product solutions to meet member needs.
  • Handles member and team customer concerns and makes appropriate risk decisions based on policies.
  • Interfaces with external carriers and partners, using knowledge of carrier relationships, systems, sales process, and underwriting practices in a multi-carrier environment, contributing to the department success.
  • Responsible for assessing internal/external talent with the talent acquisition team to make informed hiring decisions.
  • Responsible for leading team in support of achieving individual and team goals, holding them accountable for performance and actions and developing employees through regular coaching and timely feedback.

Minimum Experience


  • Bachelor's degree or 4 years (10 Total) of related experience may be substituted in lieu of degree.
  • 6 years of insurance sales and service experience to include at least 2 years of experience in Personal Lines insurance, agency, or broker setting.
  • 2 years of direct team lead, supervisory or management experience.
  • Experience managing multiple carrier relationships and performance with the use of carrier systems and reporting capabilities.
  • Experience with Personal Lines Agency Management Systems.
  • Ability to work in agile and dynamic environment.
  • Valid Property and Casualty insurance license for home state and/or ability to obtain home state and multistate license within 90 days.

Preferred Experience


  • 2 years leadership experience in a call center environment.
  • Experience analyzing and managing team Key Performance Indicators with demonstrated results.
  • Experience leading in a sales driven environment.
  • Demonstrated experience in optimizing key business processes.
  • 2 years' experience coaching and developing high performing teams.

Compensation:


USAA has an effective process for assessing market data and establishing ranges to ensure we remain competitive. You are paid within the salary range based on your experience and market position. The salary range for this position is:
$72,900-131,400.


Employees may be eligible for pay incentives based on overall corporate and individual performance or at the discretion of the USAA Board of Directors.


Geographical Differential:
Geographic pay differential is additional pay provided to eligible employees working in locations where market pay levels are above the national average.


Shift premium will be addressed on an individual basis for applicable roles that are consistently scheduled for non-core hours.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
