is currently seeking a Kitchen Attendant for one of our clients in Moyock, NC.
Primary Purpose:
Prepare and cook meals Clean and sanitize kitchen and dining areas
Essential Functions:
Reads menus and prepares and cooks foods accordingly Weighs and measures designated ingredients Uses gas grill/oven to prepare food Washes, peels, cuts, slices and dices a variety of foods Stirs and strains soups and sauces Prepares buffet style counter for breakfast, lunch and dinners Stores food in designated areas, utilizing knowledge of temperature requirements and food spoilage Ensures proper supplies of condiments, plates, cups and silverware are available Cleans and sanitizes equipment, utensils and wares used to prepare and cook meals Other duties as assigned
Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent required Two years of previous food service experience required Effective oral and written communication skills with all levels of the organization Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time and multiple priorities to completion Problem solving skills with an analytical thought process Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment Working Conditions:
Work is based in a busy dining facility environment and is subject to frequent interruptions Day Shift:
8 am to 4 pm/Night Shift:
11 am to 7 pm Some extended hours may be required Physical Requirements:
Must be able to stand for prolonged periods of time Must be able to list and carry awkward items weighing up to 50 lbs Requires intermittent walking, squatting, stretching and bending throughout the workday.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
