Junior Counter Threat Finance Analyst

Three years finance-specific analytical experience dealing with identifying / detecting, targeting, and interdicting threat, terrorist, and/or criminal finance activities, and networks. Experience shall include CTF, and may include human intelligence and signals reporting, criminal and regulatory investigations, cases for designation, and experience with Bank Secrecy Act reporting mechanisms such as Suspicious Activity Reports (SAR). Also, experience providing support to law enforcement agencies.
Minimum of Associate's in area of expertise required by the T/O or related discipline AND demonstrated investigative, verbal and writing skills AND up to 3 years of experience in BOTH the area of expertise required by the T/O AND working independently or as a group member OR
Demonstrated investigative, verbal and writing skills AND 1-4 years of experience in BOTH the area of expertise required by the T/O or related discipline AND working independently or as a group member while addressing T/O requirements.
Clearance Required: TS/SCI
Work is typically based in a busy office environment and subject to frequent interruptions. Business work hours are Monday through Friday (40) hours per week in coordination with the IT Assistant System Administrator/Programmer (AAP) to provide on-site coverage from 6:00 am to 4:30 pm, however, some extended or weekend hours may be required.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
